Hollowcore is a dry cast, prestressed horizontal section of concrete that is relatively thin and long. It is typically 4-foot wide but can be ripped down to narrower widths.
Hollowcore is primarily used as a long span structural floor or roof element in warehouse mezzanines, schools, hospitals, multifamily, manufacturing facilities, and offices. It’s also used as a fire barrier and can provide up to 4 hours of fire resistance.
